Committees
Volunteerism, cooperation, and the advancement of common goals are the cornerstones of any association. IAAPA is pleased to rely on the leadership of countless, hardworking industry professionals who dedicate their time and talents to making IAAPA a progressive, proactive, and strong organization.
IAAPA is powered by more than 30 member committees that work closely with the IAAPA board of directors to establish the priorities and program of work for the association and to provide guidance to the IAAPA staff.
Committees are organized by constituency groups (waterparks, zoos and aquariums, family entertainment centers, etc.) and business disciplines/programs (communications, human resources, finance/IT, games, etc.). There are also a number of board, advisory, and awards committees.
COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP
Committee members are appointed for a one-year term by the chairman of each committee. The term runs from January 1 to December 31. The deadline for expressing interest in committee membership for 2013, is December 1, 2012.
If you are interested in getting involved in an IAAPA Committee, please send an e-mail to Susan Mosedale before December 1, 2012. Make the subject of the e-mail "Committee Volunteer" and in the body of the e-mail, include the name of the committee(s) in which you'd like to be involved; tell us a little about your background; and include your member company name and phone number. The committee chairs will review your information and contact you if they have an opening on their committee.
